In 1980’s group of Tamils lived in Auckland and other region raised the need of formal representation of Tamils in the Auckland Region and establish rest of the New Zealand. As a result of this the New Zealand Tamil Society (NZTS) was formed in 1982. The society represents Tamils living in the Auckland region and Spread rest of the New Zealand suburbs, actively involve in promoting Tamil language and its cultural values to their younger generations.
Our Objectives

To promote Tamil Language education, Culture and Sports.

To foster improved relationship between Tamil community and other communities in New Zealand.

To show solidarity to and support humanitarian causes relating to Tamil speaking communities.
